For families with small children we point out where the pool needs supervision instead of leaving it unsaid. Preventive upkeep is deliberately unglamorous: gate motors and remotes tested, pool pump and filter pressure checked, irrigation solenoids and timers run, outdoor lighting and sockets inspected, insect screens and shutters worked, and salt-air corrosion on ironwork caught early.
