Pest Control in Loures

About our service in Loures

Pest control in Loures is not done the same way in the two halves of the borough. In the urban belt, meaning Sacavém, Moscavide and Santo António dos Cavaleiros, we work on residential buildings with shared stacks, garages and bin areas, where cockroaches and rodents move between flats without ever leaving the block. In the northern belt, with farms, houses with land and fields running right up to the walls, the logic is completely reversed: rodents arrive from outside, particularly after the harvest and with the first rains, when they look for shelter and warmth. We always ask which part the property is in before proposing anything. In houses with land, the treatment starts at the perimeter rather than in the larder. Outbuildings, chicken runs, hay stores, firewood stacked against the wall and stone walls are shelter and route at the same time. We identify the ways into the building, meaning thresholds, vents, pipe runs and poorly sealed garage doors, seal those passages and only then place bait in closed stations, protected from pets and children. It is an order we never reverse: baiting without sealing guarantees the problem comes back the following season with the same force. The airport and the main roads have brought warehousing and logistics to several parts of the borough, and those spaces have a profile of their own: wide floors, pallets, cardboard and loading bay doors open all day. We treat warehouses and commercial premises at an agreed time, outside operating hours when that is needed. In every case we use certified products and leave a written record of what was applied and where. On the farms to the north there is also the question of wasps: lean-tos, open outbuildings and fruit trees encourage nests that are only noticed when somebody works nearby. We remove those nests with proper equipment and the area cordoned off, and we ask that nobody uses the space while the work is under way.
