That is where our work stops. We do not touch the circulation pump, the controller, the valves or the cylinder in the plant room, and on a photovoltaic array we never open an inverter, unplug a DC connector, meddle with the protections or take a module off its rails. Cleaners, not electricians. Cracked glazing, delamination, heat marking, a scorched connector or perished cable is photographed and handed to you with a clear instruction to call your installer or a certified electrician. The wash is deliberately mild. Demineralised water, plenty of it, applied and left to do the work; a soft brush; pressure held low throughout. Never a pressure washer, since forced water finds the frame seal and there is a junction box or cabling on the far side of it. Never a scouring pad or a gritty cream, because the coating on the glass is thin and cannot be replaced. Never an acid or an alkali. And never in the midday heat: cold water meeting hot glass is a thermal shock, and micro-cracks begin exactly that way.
