Air Conditioning Installation in Algueirão-Mem Martins

About our service in Algueirão-Mem Martins

Cooling a home in stages only works if the first stage is planned with the later ones in mind. When somebody in Mem Martins, the Serra das Minas or the Tapada das Mercês asks for air conditioning in the living room alone, we ask straight away whether there is any intention of reaching the bedrooms later. If there is, the choice changes: instead of a standalone split, we fit a multi-split outdoor unit with capacity for further indoor units, and leave the pipe sections, the outlet points and the electrical supply ready up to the future rooms. The second phase then comes down to hanging the indoor unit and connecting it, with no need to open walls that have already been painted. The honest alternative has to be said as well: with no plan to extend the installation, a multi-split is a larger outlay with nothing to show for it. In that case we fit a single well-sized split and leave it at that. It is a decision taken at the outset and not halfway through the work, which is why we spend time on the first visit understanding how the home is used: how many people, which rooms are occupied during the day, whether anyone works from home, whether the bedrooms are children's rooms. Sizing in these homes deserves proper calculation rather than estimates. Many flats and houses in the area have bedrooms facing east, warming in the morning, and living rooms facing west that store up heat late in the afternoon, situations that call for different outputs. In homes where several people use the system at once, we also assess simultaneous operation, because a multi-split outdoor unit has a total capacity that cannot be exceeded: if every indoor unit runs at maximum, none of them performs as it should. We explain that limit beforehand and adjust the outputs so the system works well in the family's real use.
