Laundry & Linen Service in Lisboa
Lisboa holds every kind of linen problem inside one city. A studio off the Chiado let by the night, a family flat in Areeiro with a marquise the width of a corridor, a couple who have just moved into Arroios and found their rented flat came with a machine and nowhere at all to hang anything, an older resident in Estrela who cannot lift a wet duvet down from a drying rack. We cover all of it: collection at the door, washing and ironing of bed linen, treatment of towels and household textiles, delivery folded, and replacement sets kept in rotation for owners who let to guests. Our rounds cross several parishes in a day, so one address or five in the same building both work.

About our service in Lisboa
Owners letting in the Baixa, the Chiado or Graça run into the same wall. A guest leaves in the late morning, the next arrives in the middle of the afternoon, and no flat in central Lisboa washes, dries and presses two beds' worth of cotton in that window. The answer that actually works is stock in rotation: one set on the bed, one clean in the cupboard, one with us. The cleaner strips the beds, makes them up from the clean set, and we take the used linen away on the same visit. The inventory is agreed with you and tracked, so nobody stands in a hallway wondering whether there is a spare fitted sheet somewhere in the flat. Drying is the part people underestimate here. Very few Lisboa flats have a tumble dryer, and a wet January week with the windows shut leaves a duvet cover smelling stale however carefully it was washed. Mains water in the city is hard as well, which is what makes towels go stiff and board-like and turns white sheets a dull grey over a couple of years. Correct temperatures, a proper rinse and drying taken to completion in a workshop rather than over a radiator are most of what separates linen that feels new from linen that is merely not dirty. A good half of our Lisboa work has nothing to do with guests. Households in Avenidas Novas, Areeiro and Campolide send bed linen and towels on a weekly or monthly collection, along with the bulky things no domestic machine will take: winter duvets, bedspreads, wool blankets and curtains that have absorbed traffic dust from a window over a busy avenue. Newly arrived internationals are a steady part of that, usually people who signed a lease before noticing there was no dryer and no balcony. We work in Portuguese, English and French, and collection can be arranged with a concierge, a neighbour or a co-host if you are at work all day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about laundry and linen in Lisboa:
Why can nobody wash my guest linen during the changeover itself?
Because washing, drying and pressing cotton takes longer than the gap between one guest leaving and the next arriving, and heat-drying a set fast enough to fit that gap is how sheets end up creased and worn out. Rotation solves it instead. You hold enough sets for the beds to be made up immediately, and the used linen travels to us and comes back before it is next needed.
I have no balcony and no dryer. Can you take everything, not just sheets?
Yes. Bed linen and towels are the regular collection, and the awkward items are exactly what people call us about: a king-size winter duvet, a bedspread, blankets, and curtains that will not fit a domestic drum. Those go through a workshop wash and are dried fully before they come back, which is the whole point when a flat has nowhere to hang anything.
Will old stains come out?
Some will, some will not, and we would rather say so before we take the linen. Marks that have been through a hot dryer, or have sat for months, are often set into the fibre for good. We look at what you have, tell you what we expect to shift and what we do not, and treat the rest rather than promising a result we cannot deliver.
