Pest Control in Algueirão-Mem Martins

About our service in Algueirão-Mem Martins

Pest control in Algueirão-Mem Martins is nearly always carried out in homes that cannot be vacated. The area grew quickly, with compact flats occupied by large households, and a kitchen used for several meals a day, with a full larder and a bin always in use, gives cockroaches and ants a constant food supply. At the same time, shutting the flat for a day is not an option: there are children, there are people working shifts, and somebody is home at any hour. The work is organised around that, and the first thing we agree is the order of the rooms. The right application in this situation is gel at closed points, not general spraying. Gel goes into cracks, skirting joints, the back of cupboards and the gaps around appliances, stays out of reach of small hands and means no crockery or food has to come off the shelves. We work in phases: we do the kitchen and the larder, say how long that area should be left clear, and then move to the other rooms, so the team is never occupying the whole flat at once. Where spraying really is needed, we warn beforehand, say which surfaces to cover and which should be washed afterwards, meaning boards, worktops, trays and anything that touches food. What we ask of the family is small and makes a real difference. Leave the unit under the sink accessible, along with the space behind the fridge and the washing machine; keep open food in sealed containers; take up pet bowls during the work; and over the following days, do not wash the points where the gel was placed, because that is what keeps it working. We also explain the part nobody enjoys hearing but which prevents repeat visits: bin bags tied and taken out at night, cardboard packaging not kept in storage, and damp under the sink dealt with. We go through that in person and leave it in writing as well.
