Pest Control in Agualva-Cacém

About our service in Agualva-Cacém

Pest control in Agualva-Cacém faces a density problem before it faces a pest problem. The rented and social housing blocks pack many flats around each riser, with soil stacks, ducts and service voids serving dozens of homes at once. In those conditions, a cockroach infestation settled in a basement or a shared stack feeds the whole building for months, and every resident believes the problem is theirs alone. We begin by locating the riser and the point of origin, because that is the only way the treatment lasts longer than a few weeks. In buildings like these, the effective intervention is almost always the collective one. When we talk to a management committee, we propose treating the common parts, basements and bin areas together with the affected flats, and we set out in writing what was done at each point. We know it is not always possible to bring the building together, and in that case we treat the flat and say plainly what to expect: your home will be protected, but the pressure from outside remains. We would rather say so at the start than promise a result that does not depend on us alone. Mira-Sintra, São Marcos and Colaride have blocks with frequent tenant turnover, and that brings a second risk: bed bugs travelling with mattresses, second-hand furniture and luggage. They are the most commonly misdiagnosed pest we come across, mistaken for allergies or mosquito bites for weeks on end. We inspect mattresses, bed bases, seams and headboards before applying anything, and we explain what to wash and at what temperature so the treatment is not undone the next day. In these cases the follow-up counts as much as the application: we arrange a later check, because the eggs survive the first treatment and only a second pass at the right moment closes the cycle. We say that from the outset, so nobody counts on a single visit.
