Pest Control in Amadora

About our service in Amadora

Pest control in Amadora is often settled outside the flats themselves. The blocks built between the 1960s and the 1980s have large basements, rows of individual storage cages and shared garages that collect everything which will not fit upstairs: old furniture, mattresses propped against the wall, cardboard boxes, clothing in bags, appliances no longer in use. It is porous, dark, motionless material holding damp, and cardboard above all, which shelters and feeds cockroaches and is the rodents' preferred nesting material. Until that level is treated, every flat treated on its own is only delaying the return of the problem by the stairs or the riser. The intervention therefore works from the bottom up. We walk the basement with whoever holds the key, identify the focal points, mark what is being used as a nest and say clearly what has to leave before anything is applied, because soaked cardboard and textiles are not treated, they are removed. We seal pipe runs, gaps under doors and meter cupboards, place closed stations at fixed points, and only then go up to the affected flats for targeted treatment. In storage cages holding clothes and furniture, clothes moths also appear, and there the job includes treating the textiles and explaining how they should be packed away so the situation does not repeat. Amadora is a city of many origins and many languages, and that has practical consequences for our work. A treatment fails when the people living in the home have not understood what must not be washed, how long to air a room or what to do with their clothing. We explain in Portuguese, English and French, without technical terms, and leave the essentials in writing: what was applied, where, what to avoid over the following days and what the management committee needs to sort out. When the committee is the client, we give it the same record so it can post it for residents.
