Concrete is flaking off the edge of my balcony and I can see rusty metal. Will it get worse?
Yes, if it is left. Once the covering over the reinforcement is lost, the steel corrodes and expands, and that expansion breaks off more concrete, so the damaged area grows on its own. On a contained area we cut back to sound concrete, treat the exposed steel and rebuild the edge. Where it affects the slab edges of several flats, it is a building-wide repair and should be assessed technically and handled by the condomínio.
Nothing stays screwed to my bathroom wall. Can that be sorted permanently?
It can, but the answer is inside the wall rather than in a stronger plug. The partition is hollow, so there is nothing for a fixing to grip. We open up the area where the load has to go, build in solid material or a support frame anchored into something that will carry the weight, then close the wall and retile over it. Done while a bathroom is being refitted, it barely adds to the work.

We would rather come and look, and it is in your interest as much as ours. What is behind a tile or under a render decides how much work a job really is, and a quote given blind either turns out to be wrong or has to be hedged.
