Pest Control in Lisboa

About our service in Lisboa

Pest control in Lisbon is rarely solved flat by flat. The city's housing stock mixes Pombaline buildings in the Baixa, early rental blocks in Graça and Arroios and recent towers in the Avenidas Novas, and almost all of them share service ducts, soil stacks and party walls. A cockroach that turns up in a third-floor kitchen nearly always came in from somewhere else: a shared stack, a refuse chute, an electrical riser running through three storeys. That is why we begin with an inspection rather than with a product. Understanding the route the pest takes changes the treatment that actually makes sense. Once the inspection is done, the application is targeted. We use certified products along the routes and harbourage points, meaning skirting boards, service voids, pipework and the inside and back of cupboards, rather than spraying whole rooms. For cockroaches, gel placed at chosen points usually works better than blanket spraying, and it lets the room be used again straight afterwards. For rodents, we seal the entry points before laying any bait: without that, the problem comes back as soon as the treatment ends. We always explain what was applied, where, and what precautions to take over the following hours, particularly where there are children or pets. We work in homes, restaurants and shops. In the Baixa and Chiado, the density of restaurants puts constant pressure on neighbouring buildings, and an isolated treatment has a short life if the building next door does nothing. In those cases we talk to the management committee and propose a joint intervention. In short-let flats, the turnover of guests and the luggage coming in and out make bed bugs a real risk, and inspecting mattresses, bed bases and seams becomes part of the job. We arrive in an unmarked van, because for a restaurant or a holiday flat discretion is not a detail.
