Timing matters more than owners expect. This is scheduled work rather than a call-out: we do not step onto a covering that is still wet, we stop when wind picks up across an exposed hillside, and the useful window is the dry spell before the rains, not the week after the first downpour came through a ceiling. Expect regrowth too, quickest on the shaded northern pitch and beneath overhanging trees, so treatment lengthens the interval without removing the cause. When the covering is clear we hand over what appeared underneath: the split tile, the loose ridge piece, the gutter joint dripping onto a party wall. Cleaning is not repair, and we would rather write those down than leave them buried in moss.
