About our service in Alvalade
The planned neighbourhood of the 1940s and 1950s left a grid of blocks with commercial ground floors and interior courtyards. Many of those units are now client-facing offices, with a counter at the front, working rooms behind and a small kitchenette at the back. The shopfront and the glass door are the critical point: they pick up dust and splashes from the Avenida da Igreja and the busier streets, and they mark with the hands of everyone who pushes the door. We include external glass up to reachable height and internal glass in the normal routine, and where the opening is high we treat only the part that can be done safely, saying plainly what is left out. Behind the counter the work is classic office cleaning: desks, castor chairs, filing, printers and a high number of contact points per square metre. We clean handles, switches, internal card terminals, counters and waiting chairs with an appropriate product, and work dry on keyboards, screens and terminals. In offices serving older clients, very common in a neighbourhood with a settled resident population, we pay attention to the floor beside the counter and to the circulation routes, because that is where street dirt comes in and where a slippery floor is a real risk; we always sign a wet floor. The courtyard and the technical areas tend to be forgotten and are dealt with by a monthly visit: sweeping, clearing leaves, cleaning drainage grilles and checking the bin store. Waste follows the building's separation, with confidential paper kept apart when the client has that stream in place. The frequency most requested in the area is two to three times a week, with a deep clean twice a year. We work Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 8pm, fitting visits in after closing or before opening; we do not provide a night or Sunday service.
