About our service in Lisboa
Working inside a residential car park has rules of its own, and we would rather set them out before we arrive than argue about them afterwards. We work waterless or with very little water, which means no hose, no puddle spreading across the floor and no detergent finding its way into the garage gully. Where the building has a condomínio or a managing agent, the visit is agreed with them beforehand, because a car park is shared property and nobody should be surprised to find someone working next to their space. We also need room: enough clearance to walk all the way around the vehicle with the doors open, decent lighting and reasonable ventilation. If your space is wedged between two pillars with the neighbour's estate car parked tight against it, tell us and we will look at whether the car can be moved a few metres for the duration. Inside is where a Lisbon car really shows its age. We vacuum first and clean surfaces afterwards, never the reverse, because wiping down a dashboard before the grit has been lifted out simply redistributes it. The boot comes out, the mats come out, the seat rails and the gaps between the seat and the centre console are gone over properly. Then the dashboard, the door cards, the interior plastics, the vents, the glass inside and out, the steering wheel and the gear lever. Fabric seats can be extracted where they need it; leather gets a pH-neutral product rather than an all-purpose cleaner. The outside is a wash, not a restoration. We lift dust and light grime and leave the paint clean, but we make no promise to remove scratches or correct paintwork, we do no bodywork, and we do not pressure wash an engine bay. What we do is honest and visible: a clean, dry car in the space where you park it.

My car is in an underground garage under the building. Can you work down there?
Usually yes, and it is where we work most often in Lisbon. What matters is headroom, lighting and ventilation, plus enough space to open the doors and walk around the car. Because we use very little water there is no run-off into the garage drain. If the car park is managed by a condomínio we ask you to clear the visit with them first, or we can speak to the building manager ourselves.
How dirty is too dirty for a waterless wash?
A car carrying city dust, pollen and light traffic film is ideal. A car caked in dried mud or gritty sand is not, because dragging that across the paint with a cloth will scratch it. We look at the vehicle before we start, and if it is not suitable we say so rather than damage the finish. In that case the interior can still be done, and the exterior waits until the heavy soiling has been rinsed off elsewhere.
When are you available?
Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm, closed Sunday. If your building only allows contractor access at certain hours, tell us when you book and we will fit the visit into that window. Bookings made early in the week are usually easier to place the same day; otherwise we generally offer first thing the next morning.
