We handle the common areas when they form part of the contract, and in that case the entrance hall, handrails, lift buttons and entrance glazing are added, since they are among the most touched surfaces in the whole building and the quickest to show neglect. In both cases the office routine is the same: restrooms and kitchenette first, then waste, then desks and contact points, floors at the end. IT equipment dry, papers untouched, internal glazing at the agreed frequency. We check sills and frames, which are very exposed in this area, and report signs of damp or water ingress instead of simply cleaning over them. We restock washroom supplies and flag when consumption rises. Our working hours are Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 8pm, with visits placed before opening or after the office closes; we do not work night shifts or Sundays.
