We establish what a tree is before cutting, and a protected specimen goes through an authorisation process rather than coming down because it is inconvenient. Cut material is loaded and taken to a licensed disposal point, with nothing disposed of by fire on the plot. If the parcel is destined for building, say so at the visit, because levelling, stump removal and plant access make it a different job from a seasonal cut.
