When the operation runs on shifts, there is no ideal moment when the building stands empty. What we do is map the activity hour by hour with the manager and place each task where it interferes least: the administrative offices after the desk teams leave, the canteen outside meal times, the changing rooms between shifts. All of it within our hours, Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm. The canteen and the changing rooms demand more than an ordinary office. In the canteen we wash tables and chairs, degrease worktops, clean microwaves and the outside of vending machines, and empty food waste on every visit, because in an enclosed space the smell appears quickly. In the changing rooms we sanitise showers, the outside of lockers, benches and toilets, treat drains and traps and restock paper and soap. These are usually the areas that generate the most internal complaints and the ones most noticed when they are properly kept. That is why we always ask for them to have their own frequency in the contract, separate from the office. On the administrative side the office routine applies: desks, contact points, IT equipment cleaned dry, documents and delivery notes untouched, vacuuming and washing of floors, internal glazing. The boundary with the warehouse is handled with separate equipment and barrier matting, so dust and grease do not travel into the office area. We report anything we find broken, from a blocked drain to a broken dispenser. We do not cover night shifts or Sundays, and we say so at the outset, so the shift plan is drawn up with that information on the table.
