The fixed tasks are the predictable ones: a sanitised restroom, a clean kitchenette with the microwave and worktop, waste emptied and separated, desks and contact points wiped, floors vacuumed and washed, entrance door glass free of marks. The monthly rotation covers internal glazing, window frames, skirting, upholstered chairs, the tops of cupboards and ventilation grilles. Spreading that work through the year prevents build-up and does away with major recovery cleans, which always take more time than maintenance. It also gives the client a clear reference of what is included and avoids arguments about what was or was not done on a given visit. In offices attached to building or installation work, very common in this area, there is the added question of what comes through the door: dusty boots, materials left on the office floor, cardboard boxes in quantity. In those cases we recommend a transition area by the door with barrier matting, and we agree who clears the materials away before we arrive, because we do not move the client's tools or equipment. We work Monday to Saturday, between 9am and 8pm, at a fixed agreed time; we do not provide a night or Sunday service.
