Personal Chef at Home in Lumiar

About our service in Lumiar

The newer developments of Alto do Lumiar, Telheiras and Paço do Lumiar brought comfortable kitchens: induction, fan ovens, and often an island or peninsula acting as a second work surface. That makes it possible to run two services on the same day without chaos, provided the order is set. For a children's party the food has to be ready before the house fills up, easy to pick up by hand and not dependent on last-minute heating, so we bring the preparation forward to the morning and leave the worktop clear for the cake. In the evening, with the adults, the register changes: courses served at the table, longer gaps between them, and a calm finish with a pudding made during the afternoon. Before settling the plan we ask practical questions that head off trouble. How many children are coming, and which of them have dietary restrictions, because at a party there is always an allergy or a regime to respect. How many places the table seats and how many plates there are from the same set. Whether the oven is big enough for what we want to do at the same time. Whether the building needs telling about parking while we unload. In houses with outdoor space, we use the patio or the terrace for the afternoon and leave the living room free. We also handle these families' quieter request: the week's cooking, done in a single morning, with the children's dinners kept separate from the adults'. On the limits, three notes. We cook in your kitchen, with your equipment; we have no production unit and we bring no cooked food from anywhere else. We neither supply nor serve alcoholic drinks, as we hold no licence for it. And where a guest has a serious allergy, we say directly that in a kitchen in daily use the absence of cross-contamination cannot be guaranteed — we use the products the family specifies and wash utensils for the purpose, but the risk does not disappear.
