Once it has bonded, the temptation is to attack it, and attacking it is what ruins panels. So: demineralised water in quantity, a soft brush, controlled water pressure, and a second soak rather than more elbow. High pressure never comes out, because forced water finds the frame seals and behind them sits the wiring. Nothing abrasive touches the glass, because the anti-reflective layer is thin and, once scoured, gone. No acidic or alkaline cleaners either. Beyond the physical damage, cleaning a module aggressively is one of the surest ways to lose the manufacturer's warranty. Demineralised water has the added merit of drying without limescale marks, which mains water leaves plainly visible on dark modules. We choose the hour with the heat in mind. Cold water on glass that has been in full sun is a thermal shock and a route to micro-cracks in the cells, so Lumiar roofs get done early in the morning, at the end of the afternoon, or under cloud. With the rows rinsed we wipe the frames, clear the terrace drainage and pull the grit, leaves and feathers out from beneath the modules. Then we tell you what we found. A cracked pane, a delaminating cell, heat marking or a scorched connector is photographed and handed straight back to you for your installer or a certified electrician to deal with. We do not open the inverter, touch the DC side or lift a module: we are cleaners, and pretending otherwise would not help anyone.
